Only recently have I become aware of the range of wildlife that lives in and migrates through pockets of nature that exist just a short walk from many of our homes. Images of local wild birds are the subject of Wild in North Seattle, an exhibition of my photographs at Herkimer Coffee in Seattle, USA. See herons, eagles, and more. All of the photographs were taken within 5 miles of the venue. You can view this show until December 30, 2018.
For many years I’ve lived near major city parks and a lake, but only recently have I become aware of the range of wildlife that lives in and migrates through pockets of nature that exist just steps from many of our homes. When my girlfriend Sarah would point out a bird to me during our walks, I started to photograph them out of curiosity. Although I didn’t set out to be a wildlife photographer, I enjoy the challenges it involves and eventually found myself with a set of interesting photographs to print and show. I’m displaying the photographs in the same part of town where the pictured birds live, and I’m pleased with the positive reactions to the work.
The show is at Herkimer Coffee, 7320 Greenwood Avenue North, Seattle, Washington, USA.
Very nice! If I head up that way from down here in Portland I will definitely check it out!
